FREMONT — An reasonably priced housing project that would create lots of of homes is being considered on vacant land near a BART station in Fremont, city documents show.
The residential development, which can consist of apartments, is being planned on a vacant lot next to the Warm Springs BART station in Fremont.
If realized, the project would produce 240 units in a “100% affordable multifamily development” on the corner of Warm Springs Boulevard and South Grimmer Boulevard, city documents say.
Maracor Development, a San Francisco-based real estate firm, has proposed the project, which could be built on a 2.9-acre site at 45021 Warm Springs Boulevard.
The living space is to be inbuilt a six-story constructing with a parking garage and parking zone. In the event of construction, three inner courtyards, a lobby and a rental office will even be included within the constructing.
“Maracor Development acquires and develops residential, commercial and retail properties in select market areas,” the corporate’s website states.
The real estate company has proposed several housing projects within the Bay Area and has accomplished several of them.
“The Maracor team specializes in all aspects of real estate development, including institutional quality office towers, retail, mixed-use, residential and complex sustainable master-planned communities, brownfield redevelopment programs, military base conversions and underused urban redevelopment programs Territories include areas,” the corporate explains on its website.
