The Oakland Ballers announced Tuesday morning that they’re partnering exclusively with KPIX/CBS Bay Area and can broadcast the team's nine home games Friday night on KPIX+ 44 Cable 12, KPIX's sister station in San Francisco.
“We are incredibly excited to announce our partnership with KPIX/CBS Bay Area, which will broadcast our Friday night home games on KPIX+,” Ballers co-founder Bryan Carmel said in a press release. “Fans can not only watch Ballers baseball on Friday night, but also enjoy expert commentary, in-depth analysis and behind-the-scenes access with KPIX+.” We are honored to proceed Oakland's baseball legacy and hope fans tune in, to look at the Pioneer League and see what we do in town.”
“We feel that sports brings us together as a community and we are excited to televise the Oakland Ballers' Friday night home games in the communities we serve throughout the Bay Area,” said Scott Warren, President and General Manager of KPIX. TV, KPIX+ and CBS News Bay Area, in a press release. “Beyond the games, we will share inspiring stories about the team, the community that supports them and the city that works so hard to sustain America’s favorite pastime.”
Additionally, the Ballers released a video of the ballpark's renderings while construction of the ballpark's infrastructure was underway after the Oakland City Council unanimously approved an agreement to make use of Raimondi Park last week.
The nine Friday night home games, all starting at 6:35 p.m., will happen on June seventh, June 14th, June twenty eighth, July fifth, July twelfth, July twenty sixth, August 2nd, August sixteenth and August thirtieth . August.
The Ballers' broadcast team includes Tyler Petersen, Davis Ellington and various guests. Petersen, who also serves because the team's assistant general manager, has covered games on ESPN+, the Pac-12 Networks and the Mountain West Network. Ellington served as a broadcast assistant for the Utah Jazz in addition to a broadcaster for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, the Dodgers' Single-A affiliate.
For games not broadcast on KPIX+ 44 Cable 12, fans can stream games on FloSports, a streaming service partnered with the Pioneer League.
