8 rooftop bars to try in Las Vegas – The Mercury News

The only thing higher than great cocktails is drinking them while overlooking the intense lights and lovely resorts of Las Vegas.

Here is a have a look at eight rooftop bars to explore within the Las Vegas Valley:

Rooftop bars on the Strip

108 Drinks

Address: In the Tower at Strat, 2000 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to midnight, Friday to Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Happy Hour is Monday to Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Who doesn’t love a pleased hour 800 feet above the Strip?

Guests receive two Tower tickets for the value of 1 and two cocktails for the value of 1 in 108 Drinks throughout the bar's “Sky High Happy Hour.” The cocktail special also includes draft beer, bottled beer, wine by the glass and Well & Call cocktails, in line with Strat.

Address: Inside Resorts World, 3000 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday from 5pm to 2am, Friday and Saturday from 5pm until late.

You will find this bar 66 floors above the Las Vegas Strip at Resorts World.

This bar's menu changes seasonally, but you'll discover a wide array of cocktails, wines, small plates and desserts year-round.

The dress code is sensible, so leave the baseball cap at home.

Hotel bar on the Waldorf Astoria

Address: At the Waldorf Astoria, 3752 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Opening hours: Sunday and Thursday 4.30pm–midnight, Friday and Saturday 12pm–1am.

The hotel bar is situated on the twenty third floor of the Waldorf Astoria and offers great view of the Strip and drinks with names inspired by Vegas Stories and Culturejust like the cocktails Mojave and Spanish Trail. Mocktails are also offered for sober visitors.

Skyfall Lounge at Delano Las Vegas

Address: Inside Delano Las Vegas, 3940 Mandalay Bay Road.

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 5:00 p.m. to midnight

Located on the sixty fourth floor of the Delano, this upscale bar offers cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine and spirits.

If you're feeling slightly hungry, you may take pleasure in light snacks like panisee (chickpea fries) and short ribs tacos, amongst others.

And in case you are REALLY hungry, there’s also lobster risotto and Angus New York Strip on the menu.

Rooftop bars in downtown Las Vegas

Legacy Club

Address: Top of Circa Resort & Casino, 8 Fremont St.

Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Drink amongst legends (or at the very least portraits of them) within the rooftop bar of the Circa, Legacy Club.

Located on the sixtieth floor of Circa, the bar offers 360-degree views of Downtown Las Vegas and the Strip.

Guests can enjoy cocktails around a hearth pit or stay inside and admire the bar's 500 custom gold bars.

A dress code applies to entry to this bar. Swimwear, sandals, workout clothes and sports equipment aren’t permitted.

Reservation prices start at a minimum of $25 per person for indoor seating and go as much as a minimum of $1,500 for a big fire pit reservation.

Rooftop bar at Inspire Nightclub

Address: 107 Las Vegas Blvd. South (corner of Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard).

Opening hours: Thursday and Sunday 22:00 until late, Friday and Saturday 21:00 until late.

Down the road from the Legacy Club within the Fremont East District is Inspire Nightclubwhich offers three floors of live DJs, a cocktail lounge and diverse opportunities for views and folks watching on Fremont Street.

The rooftop bar features VIP tables (and bottle service), a DJ and an out of doors dance floor with 270-degree views of Fremont's bar strip.

Commonwealth

Address: 525 Fremont St. (corner of Fremont and Sixth Streets).

Opening hours: Thursday and Sunday from 10 p.m. to three a.m., Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to three a.m.

Diagonally across from El Cortez is Commonwealth, a venue that, in line with its website, goals to be a “neighborhood bar for locals and visitors alike.”

In addition to the rooftop bar and live DJs, the bar offers a Menu of craft cocktails, over 20 forms of local and international beers and 16 different bottles of tequila at amazing prices.

With its ornate lamp posts, exposed brick partitions and rustic park benches, this bar seems like a spot where Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders would enjoy a drink.

ZAI Vegas

Address: 700 Fremont St. (corner of Fremont and Seventh Streets).

Opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 22:00 to 03:00, Friday to Sunday from 22:00 to 04:00.

Opposite the Downtown Container Park is WILLwith VIP tables, bottle service and reservations for personal events.

The bar also hosts holiday theme nights and special DJ headliners.
