Walt Disney Imagineering has lifted the curtain on the advanced latest audio-animatronics of Prince Naveen, Mama Odie, Louis the Alligator and others planned for upcoming Tiana's Bayou Adventure attractions at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
Imagineering's most advanced animatronic characters will star within the Princess and the Frog attractions that can replace the previous Splash Mountain rides on each coasts.
The 48 latest state-of-the-art animatronics have already been installed within the Magic Kingdom in Florida – where Tiana's Bayou Adventure The official opening is scheduled for Friday, June 28, after a series of previews.
Many of Disneyland's animatronic figures are currently being tested on the Imagineering campus in Glendale ahead of the Anaheim attraction's planned opening later this 12 months.
Imagineering showed 4 versions of the “Tiana Matronics,” which might be seen in several outfits through the ride. In one scene, Tiana conducts a Bayou Critter band and in one other, she leads a musical Mardi Gras celebration.

Louis the alligator may even be seen several times within the attraction. Imagineering showed the Louis animatronics in various stages of completion, with the underlying mechanics visible.

The voodoo priestess Mama Odie also appears greater than once within the attraction. Juju, Odie's snake with a forked tongue and a seeing eye, hops around next to a plate of beignets in a single scene.
Throughout the brand new ride, a complete swamp stuffed with friendly animals will play Zydeco, Rara and Afro-Cuban music on improvised instruments created from natural materials present in the bayou.
The redesign of the Splash Mountain rides will remove thematic elements from “Song of the South,” the controversial Nineteen Forties cartoon that was criticized for perpetuating racist stereotypes and from which Disney has distanced itself.
The twin rides Tiana's Bayou Adventure tell a continuation of the Princess and the Frog story that begins after the ultimate kiss between Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. The latest backstory for Splash Mountain follows Tiana and Louis, the trumpet-playing alligator, as they prepare for his or her first carnival performance.
