A mixture of former Boston Celtics, current New England Patriotsand an Olympic gold medalist shall be at TD Garden on Sunday night to look at the Celtics tackle the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Finals.
Nearly a dozen former Celtics players will watch Game 2, including Hall of Famer Paul Pierce. Former Celtics who were in Game 1 and are back for Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Finals include Dana Barros, Tacko Fall, Leon Powe and Shaquille O'Neal.
Rapper BIA, a Medford native currently signed to Pharrell's I Am Other label, will perform at halftime. Her most up-to-date hit song, “Likka Sto 2,” was on the Billboard Hot 100 alongside Travis Scott, who can also be on the TD Garden for the sport with producer Metro Boomin.
Needham native and gold-medal-winning gymnast Aly Raisman, who sat courtside at TD Garden through the 2022 NBA Finals, is here tonight. As are a trio of Bruins players: David Pastrnak, Charlie McAvoy and Jeremy Swayman.
Philadelphia Eagles players outnumbered New England Patriots players in Game 1, but that shouldn't be the case tonight. Patriots Ja'Whaun Bentley, Deatrich Wise and KJ Osborn are in attendance for Game 2, as are former coach Bill Belichick and recently retired special teams star Matthew Slater, who will receive a video tribute through the game.
