After her almost universally derided performance within the presidential debate on Thursday night, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey will be counted among the many Deputy to President Joe Biden who admit that the president didn’t have a great night.
“Joe Biden had a poor debate performance – it was hard to watch,” Healey replied when asked by reporters on the State House in regards to the debate on Friday, as seen within the video posted to X by Politico reporter Kelly Garrity. But the governor also accused the likely Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump, of “continuing to lie about the same old thing” and spreading dangerous noise.

“Joe Biden performed poorly at the debate – it was hard to watch. We also saw Donald Trump stand there and lie and brag about overturning Roe again and taking away health insurance from women. I also heard him talk about refusing to accept the outcome of the last election and refusing to accept the outcome of the next election and refusing to condemn the insurrectionists. So, you know, it's more of the same from Donald Trump, and we know the stakes couldn't be higher.”
