Angelina Pivarnick, known for her role within the MTV series “Jersey Shore,” is facing several criminal charges following an alleged incident that occurred at her New Jersey home over the weekend.
Although few details concerning the incident are currently known, the 37-year-old is reportedly facing Charged with easy assault, damage to property, resistance to prosecution and obstruction of justice, in line with a city subpoena obtained by TMZ.
“This is nothing more than a very minor incident that was exacerbated by a side effect of a prescribed over-the-counter medication,” her attorney James Leonard told the outlet in an announcement Wednesday.
Leonard claims the incident was exaggerated, adding that they “look forward to bringing this matter to a positive conclusion and putting it behind us. Angelina is resting at home and has no further comment at this time.”
Police were reportedly called to Pivarnick's home in Freehold, New Jersey, on Sunday evening. She currently shares the house together with her fiancé, Vinny Tortorella, even though it is just not yet known if he was involved within the incident.
According to authorities, details of the case won’t be disclosed because it stays an ongoing criminal investigation.
According to reports, the police has been called twice prior to now due to domestic disputes There were altercations between the couple – once on July 30 last 12 months and again on November 1 – but no charges were filed on either occasion.
Pivarnick faces quite a few charges and is scheduled to look in court next month.
