Kuo: Apple Watch 10 to have larger screen and thinner design

Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a blog entry on Monday that the subsequent Apple Watch can be thinner and have a bigger screen.

The Apple Watch Series 10 is predicted to be released in September, when the corporate typically unveils its next series of wearables and latest iPhone models. Kuo said the screen size of the 2 Apple Watch models will increase from 41 millimeters to 44 millimeters and from 45 millimeters to 49 millimeters.

The specifications of the Apple Watch Ultra model will remain “roughly the same,” although a darker case option could also be introduced if production yields meet expectations, Kuo added.

Kuo added that the watch will include components made using 3D printing technology starting within the second half of the yr.

Although Apple has not yet mass-produced devices using 3D printing, the corporate tested 3D printing for the production of the Apple Watch Series 9 in 2023 to cut back manufacturing time and material usage. Kuo said the tests had “significantly improved” production efficiency.

Bright Laser Technologies will supply the 3D-printed watch components, based on Kuo. He said demand for supplies of parts from the China-based 3D printing company is predicted to extend in the approaching years as a result of the fee benefits of 3D printing. Kuo also pointed to the technology's potential to be utilized in the manufacture of Apple Watch cases.
