But the general public nature of their romance put a strain on the connection, especially after the 2 were the topic of jokes during a roast for his or her Brady livestreamed on Netflix last month.

The former NFL star was the guest of honor at Netflix's special “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady” on May 5. During the event, Brady endured several hours of bitingly humorous commentary about his profession on and off the sphere from celebrity friends and former teammates, including Ben Affleck, Kevin Hart, Rob Gronkowski, Nikki Glaser and Julian Edelman. People have reported.

Comedians Hart and Glaser teased Brady specifically about Bündchen’s latest boyfriend, People and reported the Daily Mail.

Glaser made a crude joke about how Bündchen's latest boyfriend could use his martial arts skills to defeat the seven-time Super Bowl champion in a fight while concurrently performing a sexual act on her, the Daily Mail reported. Glaser's other jibes included: “Tom, the only thing dumber than saying yes to this roast was when you said, 'Hey baby, you should try jiu-jitsu.'”

There was speculation that Bündchen began her romance with Valente while she was still married to Brady, however the model dismissed this assumption in an interview with The New York Times. “That’s a lie,” Bündchen said.

But Glaser teased Brady more generally about his 2022 divorce from Bündchen, saying, “You have seven rings. Well, eight after Gisele gave hers back.”

Bundchen was reportedly upset by the “derogatory” jokes at her expense. A source told People the model was “deeply disappointed with the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday night's roast show.”

Brady, who reportedly didn’t know exactly which jokes could be broadcast through the special, subsequently apologized to his ex-wife, in line with a report from Us Weekly.

“Gisele and Tom had a rule not to make derogatory comments when talking about each other or their marriage and divorce,” Us Weekly reported. “She (was) definitely offended and upset by the comments at the roast. … She thinks their new relationship should have been off-limits. (But) Tom has reached out to Gisele to apologize. They are cordial and only talk about the kids.”

But Brady's alleged apology got here too late for Valente, In Touch Weekly reported.

“The spotlight was too much for him,” the source also said. “Joaquim is a normal guy. He's not used to all the attention he gets.”

Tom Brady's mockery actually didn't help matters, In Touch reported. “Joaquim became part of the joke,” a source told the publication. “People actually started asking him if he was the reason for their divorce. He hated that.”

According to In Touch, Bündchen reportedly believes her romance with Valente would have been on more solid ground if Brady hadn't attended the roast. “By agreeing to attend the roast, (Brady) basically made Joaquim a target,” a source said.
