Harris calls for donations
US Vice President Kamala Harris has launched a fundraising appeal after confirming that she’s going to run within the presidential election in the autumn after White House leader Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy. Biden has endorsed Harris, who has yet to receive the official Democratic nomination.
“I am honored by the President's endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination,” she said, pledging to construct on the accomplishments made during Biden's tenure, namely “making historic progress in reducing prescription drug costs, modernizing our nation's infrastructure, fighting climate change, and much more.”
She asked her supporters to separate a donation between her campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC).
“As I go on the campaign trail in the coming days to meet with Americans and present the choice to voters in the fall, I cannot imagine two very different visions of where our country should go,” she said, referring to the competing program of former US President and Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Jaime Harrison, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, has promised a “transparent and orderly process” to interchange President Joe Biden because the Democratic candidate within the upcoming US presidential election.
“The work we must do now, while unprecedented, is clear. In the coming days, the party will begin a transparent and orderly process to move forward as a united Democratic Party with a candidate who can defeat Donald Trump in November. This process will be governed by established party rules and procedures,” he said in a opinion on the social media platform X.
“As we now officially select our party's nominee, our values as Democrats remain the same: cut costs, restore freedom, protect the rights of all people, and save our democracy from the threat of dictatorship. We have made these arguments to the American people and will continue to do so,” he noted.
Biden supported current Vice President Kamala Harris within the election.

Most essential Democratic association supports Harris
A majority of the 57 state Democratic Party leaders have voted to endorse Kamala Harris because the Democratic nominee on this yr's presidential election to interchange incumbent US President Joe Biden, saying there may be “overwhelming support” for her candidacy, based on the Association of State Democratic Committees (ASDC).
The ASDC represents the interests of the state parties within the Democratic National Committee, which selects the presidential candidate.
No ASDC member voted against Harris, it said in an announcement; some members abstained from voting within the state for procedural reasons.

Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race on Sunday sparked reactions from heads of state and government all over the world.
Polish President Donald Tusk and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala acknowledged that Biden's “difficult” decision was driven by the larger interests of the United States. Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called Biden a “true friend” and “partner of Canadians.”
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant thanked Biden for his “unwavering support of Israel over the years.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selensky also expressed his thanks on Biden’s “unwavering support in the Russia-Ukraine war.”
