Because of a long-running riff with co-star Sarah Jessica ParkerCattrall had previously stated that she had little interest in reviving her role because the cheeky Samantha Jones for a spin-off.
And then, by some kind of congressional resolution, she signed a cameo appearance within the finale of the second seasonalthough she didn’t share any scenes together with her former co-stars.
The appearance gave long-time fans of the series hope – a lot in order that rumors of a repeat emerged.
No. Not in accordance with Cattrall.
The 67-year-old actress responded to a tweet on social media with a re-shared You Article It read: “Looks like #KimCattrall (aka Samantha Jones) is coming back for And Just Like That… season 3 after all!”
“Oh, that’s so nice,” Cattrall shot back at X“But I'm not.”
“And Just Like That,” which follows the unique “Sex and the City” characters navigating middle-aged life and love in New York, was capable of succeed, albeit awkwardly at times, without Cattrall’s involvement.
The “Mannequin” star told the media that she “never” desired to work on the franchise again because she “I want to work with good people.”
But after the sudden cancellation of the last performances – “Filthy Rich” by Fox Peacock’s “Queer As Folk” rebootand later “Glamorous” on Netflix – she by some means modified her mind, hence her transient appearance within the second season.
But perhaps she really means it this time.
