BERLIN (AP) — Spain has won its fourth European Championship. Mikel Oyarzabal's goal within the 86th minute secured the 2-1 victory. England's decades-long, painful wait for a serious trophy continues.
Oyarzabal slotted home Marc Cucurella's cross as the sport looked set to enter time beyond regulation at Berlin's Olympic Stadium after England's latest show of resilience on the tournament. Substitute Cole Palmer equalised for England within the 73rd minute, cancelling out Nico Williams' Forty seventh-minute opener, scored from a pass by 17-year-old winger Lamine Yamal.
