USA puts six firms on the trade restriction list, 4 of them because of coaching the Chinese military

The United States added six firms to its trade restriction list on Tuesday, including 4 due to their ties to the training of the Chinese armed forces, in response to a government statement.

Two of the businesses are situated in China, one in South Africa, two within the United Arab Emirates and one within the United Kingdom.

Global Training Solutions Limited and Smartech Future Limited, each in China, and Grace Air (Pty) Ltd and Livingston Aerospace Limited of the United Kingdom were added due to their links to the Test Flying Academy in South Africa and the training of Chinese forces by Western and NATO sources, the criticism said.

The South African Test Flying Academy was placed on the so-called “Entity List” last yr since it trained Chinese military pilots using Western and North Atlantic contract sources.

The Emirati firms Mega Fast Cargo and Mega Technique General Trading were brought in for tax evasion, while Mega Fast Cargo was brought in for shipping goods from the USA to Russia, the criticism said.

Companies on the Entity List monitored by the US Department of Commerce require a license to provide American goods and technology to those firms, and this license is very prone to be denied.

“Preventing American expertise from training the People's Republic of China's military pilots and preventing U.S. technology from helping Russia strengthens U.S. national security,” Commerce Secretary Matthew Axelrod said in a press release. “People's Republic of China” is the People's Republic of China.

The Commerce Department also placed 13 firms on the unverified list, including eight from China, because U.S. export control officials were unable to conduct on-site visits to find out whether the businesses might be trusted to just accept technology and other goods of American origin.

U.S. exporters must conduct additional due diligence before sending items to firms on the Unverified List and may have to use for extra licenses.

At the identical time, the ministry removed eight firms from the Unverified List, including six from China, one from the United Arab Emirates and one from Russia.
