Iconic hotel brand Raffles announced the opening of Raffles Jaipur on July 8 – its second opening on the Indian subcontinent.
The first, Raffles Udaipur, opened in 2021. Both hotels are positioned in Rajasthan, a northwestern Indian state known for its stunning forts and historic palaces, corresponding to the Dear Eva.
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, got its colourful nickname after its buildings were painted pink in 1876 as an indication of hospitality to an English monarch.
According to a press release announcing the hotel's opening, Raffles Jaipur has 50 rooms and suites, each of which differs in its amenities and furnishings.
Inside the hotel
The hotel features nine floors of rooms and suites, all with butler service and balconies equipped with an outside bathtub or plunge pool.
The hotel's entry-level “Landmark Rooms” are 70 square meters in size and might accommodate two guests, in accordance with the Hotel website.
The hotel's suites have a separate living area and range from the 74 m² Junior Suite to the 239 m² Rajmata Two Bedroom Presidential Suite which is supplied with a pool, a steam bath and a kitchenette.
Hand-carved sandstone columns, patterned marble floors and Mughal furniture decorate the hotel's courtyard.
Prices at Raffles Jaipur start at 45,000 Indian rupees (539 US dollars).
Eating on the hotel
The original Raffles hotel, Raffles Singapore, introduced the Singapore Sling in 1915.
Raffles Jaipur has its own version of the drink, the pink Jaipur Sling, made with Indian dry gin and orange liqueur. It is served within the Writers Bar, one among the hotel's two bars.
A second bar, Sehara, is positioned on the roof of the hotel and serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes, in accordance with the press release.
Guests can dine at Arkaa, a progressive North Indian restaurant that also serves breakfast.
Afternoon tea is served each day within the Safir Atrium Tea & Champagne Lounge. Tea-infused finger foods, loose leaf teas and tea-based whisky cocktails are served on trolleys.
Raffles Jaipur includes a 615 sqm spa with cold and warm mineral pools and personalized yoga and meditation sessions.
The hotel is planning an Artisan Trail later this yr, allowing guests to look at Rajasthani artisans at work.

Raffles Jaipur is the twenty second Raffles hotel worldwide following the opening of Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain in January.
Two more Raffles hotels are scheduled to open this yr: Raffles Sentosa in Singapore and Raffles Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
