Matthew Tkachuk just isn’t exactly popular in Boston after helping the Panthers eliminate the Bruins within the last two playoffs.

But the combative power forward and St. Louis native continues to be on good terms with Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. The two superstars of their respective sports each attended Chaminade College Preparatory School in Missouri before starting their careers within the NBA and NHL.

On Sunday, each Tatum and Tkachuk returned to St. Louis to throw out the primary pitch at Busch Stadium before the Cardinals faced the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Both Tatum and Tkachuk have taken several victory laps this summer after playing key roles within the Celtics and Panthers' championships, respectively, in June. Tatum took the court in St. Louis wearing the Larry O'Brien Trophy, while Tkachuk boasted a custom-made championship belt after helping Florida win its first Stanley Cup.

They even recreated their viral photo of themselves sitting on a college bus during Sunday's game. bring her former classmate Jacob Bai to the sport to pose in the identical photo.

Although Tkachak left Chaminade in ninth grade to affix the U.S. national team development program, he remained friends with Tatum – the 2 stars cheered one another on during their respective title fights this summer.

“Yeah, when you think about it, it’s actually pretty cool.” Tkachuk told Tracey Myers from NHL.com. “Everyone from St. Louis, whether they wanted to watch or not, since we were both there, I would say a lot of people, especially the kids we grew up with and families and people that know us, root for both teams. It's super cool to have that support at home, not just for me, but for the Celtics.”
