SAN JOSE – Cisco Systems has seen a brand new wave of layoffs: The company will cut dozens more jobs in San Jose, as technology firms cut tons of of jobs in its latest round of downsizing.
Cisco Systems has decided to chop one other 53 jobs within the South Bay, in line with an official WARN notice the legendary tech giant sent to the state Employment Development Department.

Other technology firms that recently announced layoff plans within the Bay Area include Cuberg and Five9, in line with this news organization's review of the state EDD's WARN notices.
WARN filings show that the recently announced layoffs will lead to 353 tech jobs being lost within the Bay Area.
Shortly before Cisco announced its job cuts, the technology company announced it might cut seven percent of its workforce, which could equate to a lack of 5,900 jobs worldwide.
