Harvard uses early dominance to defeat Stetson 35-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Jaden Craig threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns and Harvard dominated its opening game of the season, defeating Stetson 35-0 on Saturday.

The Crimsons scored on the sport's opening drive and were never in trouble. Craig threw a 43-yard touchdown to Scott Woods II on a seven-play, 85-yard drive.

Harvard held Stetson to three-and-out and compelled a punt. Woods returned the 32-yard punt 27 yards to Stetson's 20-yard line after which ran 15 yards to establish Shane McLaughlin's 4-yard touchdown run.

Harvard prolonged its result in 21-0 when Mitchell Gonser intercepted Trip Maxwell's pass on Stetson's follow-up and returned it 37 yards just before the halfway point of the primary quarter.

With seven seconds left before halftime, Craig threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Osborne. In the third quarter, he added a 25-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Barkate.

Harvard held Stetson to 101 yards.
