OAKLAND – A 27-year-old man was shot and killed in East Oakland Wednesday night, authorities said.
The man's name has not yet been released because his family has not yet been notified.
The shooting, which triggered gunshot detection system alarms, occurred around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday in a parking zone in the world of twenty seventh Avenue and International Boulevard.

The man was found unconscious and brought to a hospital where he later died, authorities said.
Several other people were within the parking zone on the time of the shooting but weren’t injured by the gunfire, authorities said.
A motive for the shooting has not yet been announced. No arrests have been made and police haven’t released any information in regards to the suspect.
The killing is the 68th murder case investigated by Oakland police this 12 months and the primary since three people were shot in several parts of the town on September 7. At this time last 12 months, police had investigated 91 murder cases in the town.
