Princess Catherine's cancer treatment is over and with it the time during which she worked exclusively from home.
The 42-year-old British royal held a gathering at Windsor Castle on Tuesday to debate her early childhood project, in response to the Court Circular listing royal engagements. There are not any details or photos of the gathering, nevertheless it is believed to be from her Center for Early Childhood Team members and staff of Kensington Palace, the telegraph reported.
This is the princess's first official appointment since she accomplished adjuvant chemotherapy for an unspecified type of cancer.
“I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have finally finished my chemotherapy,” the princess wrote earlier this month on X“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and the unknown path.”
The announcement was accompanied by footage of the royal family shot by London filmmaker Will Warr during their stay in Norfolk last month, Kensington Palace said.
Princess Catherine added in her post that she was focused on “staying[ing] cancer-free” and although her chemotherapy is over, “my road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.” Still, she said she is looking forward to “getting back to work and making a few more public appearances in the coming months when I can.”
After undergoing abdominal surgery in January, the princess took over the management of her early childhood centre, which aims to improve the lives of babies and young children, “from home”. The Times previously reported.
During her subsequent months of cancer treatment, the princess continued to appear rarely in public and waiting for release by her medical team to resume public duties. Treatment began in February and was public speculation about their whereabouts.
Starting this month, the princess will manage a “light programme of external engagements” for the rest of the year, a source close to the royal family previously said The timesHer recent appointment at Windsor Castle seems to be at the top of the agenda.
Princess Catherine, the married into the British royal family in 2011last appeared in public on August 25, 2023, when she attended church services near Balmoral Castle in Scotland with William, King Charles III and Queen Camilla. William resumed his public duties last week after taking the summer off and withdrawing from several high-profile events earlier this year because his wife and father Cancer diagnoses. He, Catherine and their daughter Charlotte had a rare public appearance at the Wimbledon final in July, and he and Catherine took part in a social media video congratulating the British Olympians after the Games in Paris.
