Incorrect information: At 3:52 a.m., officers stopped a motorist at Prospect Road and Lawrence Expressway for expired registration. An investigation revealed that a fake license plate was displayed on the rear license plate of the vehicle. The suspect was cited and released.
Bomb hoax, hate crime: At 2:52 p.m., officers responded to a bomb threat someone had emailed to the FBI claiming bombs had been planted at Congregation Beth David Synagogue on Prospect Road. K9 units were used to go looking the property and no suspicious devices were found.
Oct. 9
Mail Theft, Reckless Evading: At 4:37 a.m., officers responded to a report of mail theft in progress from a multi-unit mailbox bank at The Vineyards of Saratoga on Vineyard Lane. Officers positioned the suspects attempting to interrupt into one other multi-unit mailbox within the complex, however the suspects quickly fled the scene in a vehicle. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driving force refused to yield and swerved recklessly, eventually discontinuing the pursuit.

Residential Burglary: Between 12:49 p.m. and 1:03 p.m., someone entered an apartment within the 20000 block of Bonnie Brae Way by breaking down a door and stole eyeglasses and jewellery of an unknown value.
Oct 13
Grand Theft: Between 1:00 and 1:45 p.m., the victim was walking and was struck by a vehicle within the 13000 block of Pierce Road. The suspect exited the vehicle, approached the victim and placed fake jewelry on him while taking the gold chain from him. The total damage was roughly $5,000.
