“Hell or High Water” star Ben Foster has filed for divorce from Laura Prepon after six years of marriage, although they’ve apparently been separated for days after their “That '70s Show” co-star Danny Masterson was sentenced to prison for rape last 12 months.
The Emmy-nominated executive producer filed for divorce from the “Orange is the New Black” actress, each 44, and listed the date of separation as September 9, 2023, Us Weekly and People report.
This comes just two days after Masterson, 48, was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for raping two women in 2003.
According to TMZ, Foster simply attributed the tip of the wedding to “irreconcilable differences” and asked the court to uphold his 2018 prenuptial agreement with Prepon.
Insiders told the magazine that Foster remained in Los Angeles during their recent split, while the New Jersey native, who now not wears her wedding ring, stays in Tennessee. Even though she posted one She was only seen wearing her ring on an Instagram reel in Julyit was missing in her last Halloween post.
The former couple met as teenagers but didn't change into romantically involved until July 2016 and got engaged that fall. The actors became parents the next summer when their daughter Ella was born. They said yes in June 2018, and had a son in early 2020, whose name was not published.
They counted Masterson amongst their mutual friends for a very long time. Before Prepon married Foster in 2018, he was in a long-term relationship with Christopher Masterson, the convicted rapist's brother.
Masterson received messages of support from his “That '70s Show” co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Kutcher and Kunis immediately resigned as respective chairmen and board monitors of the anti-sexual abuse organization Thorn.
Representatives for Foster and Prepon didn’t immediately reply to the Daily News' request for comment.
