Dear travel problem solver: I'm attempting to resolve a problem with my Uber One membership and recurring Uber Eats errors. I attempted to cancel my Uber One membership. Uber wouldn't let me, so I disputed the charge with American Express and provided documentation. They gave me credit.
A month later, once I urgently needed a ride, I discovered that my account was frozen until I paid $99. After hours of chatting with the shopper service department, a representative asked me to pay the $99, which might then be refunded by Uber. I paid the $99, but after receiving a “pending” credit, I later checked in again and located that only $56 had been refunded, not the complete $99.

“It appears there was a miscommunication regarding the refund process for Carl's Uber One membership,” a representative explained. Uber has refunded your membership fee, unlocked your account, and added a $25 credit to your account as an apology.
