JetBlue Airways Corp. is cutting more unprofitable routes from its network, including flights between New York's John F. Kennedy Airport and Miami, and is suspending some flights to Europe to focus operations on core markets.
The airline said it could give attention to other Florida cities, a key a part of its network, fairly than Miami, where it has continued to lose money resulting from competition from larger airlines. The airline said in a press release to employees on Wednesday that it’s working to supply employees a variety of options, including possible transfers to other cities.

“Most of our customers affected by these changes will be able to self-select alternative flight options on JetBlue.com,” the airline said in a press release. “If alternative routes are not available, customers will receive a refund.”
The airline previously cut flights in California and Florida and suspended service to several cities in South America as a part of a significant overhaul of its route network. The changes are a part of a broader plan to revive profits after a bid to amass Spirit Airlines Inc. was blocked by a federal court and a partnership with American Airlines Group Inc. was dissolved, each for violating antitrust laws.
The airline is suspending service in San Jose, California, and can be suspending flights from JFK to Austin and Houston, JFK-Milwaukee, and between Westchester County, New York and Charleston, South Carolina. The company will now not offer its Mint premium product in Seattle and can shift the aircraft to markets to be announced in 2025.
