In a letter to Elon Musk on Thursday, Senator Elizabeth Warren outlined greater than 30 suggestions that would cut back a minimum of 2 trillion dollars of presidency spending in the following decade.
Musk was tapped in November to guide the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), and has since requested extensive cuts in spending on programs resembling Medicare, Medicaid, Social Insurance and Advantages of Veterans.
Warren has “very serious concerns” of the Doge process and publicly discussed guidelines, she wrote within the letter.
“The committee seems to be an event location for corruption that enables well -networked billionaires to take government policy that enrich them and violate ordinary Americans,” wrote Warren of their letter.

Instead, the federal government should reduce expenses in other areas. It identified cases of “waste, fraud and abuse in the government”.
“My recommendations would reduce expenses for wasteful programs and contracts, reduce the richest Americans unfair gaps and giveaways and make the government more efficient and effective,” she wrote.
She estimated that these changes would save taxpayers a minimum of 2 trillion dollars in the following decade.
Some of the recommendations of Warren include cuts within the Ministry of Defense, in federal health programs and within the federal tax codices in addition to in saving educational programs. In each area it contained specific changes, e.g. B. the negotiation of a greater department for Department of Defense and the seek for opportunities to save lots of costs, which in keeping with their information could save $ 52.8 billion for goods and $ 10.3 billion for services over 12 years.

Warren's letter to Musk comes shortly after she has registered one other letter with 20 other democratic legislators who asks Trump to handle the high prices of eggs. In a letter sent this week and signed by other representatives of Massachusetts, Seth Moulton and Jim McGovern.
