Passenger travel at San Jose Airport shows sluggish leisure travel behavior

SAN JOSE — Passenger travel at San Jose International Airport was sluggish in November, an ominous begin to the crucial holiday travel season on the South Bay aviation hub.

According to the newest statistics released by the airport, the airport handled barely fewer than 954,800 passengers in November, a decrease of 1.2% in comparison with the identical month in 2023.

For several months, 2024 was trending ahead of 2023. However, the airport is now heading for a weaker 12 months in comparison with last 12 months.

The trailing 12-month total can be 29.2% lower than the full for 2019, the last full 12 months before COVID-related safety measures impacted the worldwide travel and airline industries.
