The preparation of the beloved business

San Jose – Trudys Brides and Special Cacasions is preparing to maneuver to San Jose this 12 months and leave his familiar location in Campbell's Pruneyard shopping mall to expand the shop.

According to Steven Blechman, to whom Trudys Brides belongs, the merchant, who has been within the Pruneyard for 50 years for 50 years, is in a shopping mall within the Willow Glen District 1615 in San Jose.

“We have been looking for a room for about three years,” said Blechman. “It was difficult to search out space that may work. The place we chosen was something we met immediately. It was like a light-weight that shone down. “

Trudys Brides leased a former Walgreens droger and pharmacy area in a shopping center on the corner of Meridian Avenue and Hamilton Avenue.

“It is an enormous decision to go away a spot where you have got been for 50 years,” said Blechman. “There is a lot of uncertainty.

Blechman is also the top-class status of the Pruneyard, which is aware of a regional drawing, but can also command rents at the highest level.

“The Pruneyard is a goal,” said Blechman. “But I don't need to spend a Pruneyard money to draw customers.”

According to Blechman, Trudy's Brides expects to be at his new location at some point this summer.

The Newmark Commercial Real Estate Broker Geri Wong represented Trudys Brides in his rental agreement.

The rental agreement also helps to fill a large room, had left the Walgreens as part of the retailer search for 1,200 shops nationwide, including 500 in 2025.

The increased amount of elbow room offers trudys greater flexibility in its company, the company said.

Trudys will be able to organize fashion shows, exclusive preview events, wedding and prom show cases and designer boutiques in the shop. Customers also have more space for breath.

The new business will be about two miles from the long -standing Pruneyard location of the retailer.

This means that Trudys Brides will be able to continue to operate his loyal customer and to attract new patrons from the districts of Cambrian and Willow Glen as well as the rest of San Jose and other parts of the Bay Area.

Trudys will continue to work on the Pruneyard location until the move occurs this summer.

During the high season from January to May, Trudys Brides usually employs around 40 people. In the months outside the peak times, the business usually has around 30 workers. Blechman assumes that the setting patterns in the new location should be approximately the same.

Blechman is the son of the late founders of Trudys, Roger and Trudy Blechman. He runs Trudys with his wife Rebekah Blechman.

“The entire goal is to create an experience for the client who differs from what our competitors offer,” said Blechman. The Campbell architect Jeffrey Eaton designs the space of the new business.

Blechman said he didn't want Trudys to have the appearance and feeling of department stores or other larger competitors.

“Our customers wish to feel special for the acquisition process,” said Blechman. “You wish to touch, feel and have an experience as an alternative of just trying on a dress in your front room.”
