Colin Cowherd expects patriots to “double” their victory overall in 2025

Patriots

Colin Cowherd believes that the patriots enter the 2025 season within the upswing.

Although New England completes a catastrophic season 2024, New England scored a 4: 13 Jerod After just one 12 months within the job, New England found hope for Rookie QB's promising game Drake Maye.

And while New England still has some options in relation to improving the supporting line -up in Maye, the patriots have made considerable progress within the strengthening of their coaching staff and their defender.

After the hiring Mike Vrabel As head coach and revised vital parts of Mayo's former employees, the freelance agency last week by signing several playmakers similar to DT Milton Williams, CB Carlton Davis and LB Robert Spillane.

The patriots are still within the works when they fight to construct their squad within the after-Bill Belichick era. But New England's busy low season has already impressed Cowherd, who made a courageous prediction of the team's assets in 2025.

“The patriots are one of my surprise teams in the league,” said Cowherd on Friday in his FS1 show, “The herd with Colin Cowherd.” “I think you have the second most common talented quarterback in the division, and I don't think it is particularly close in Drake Maye. You have to put weapons into the design, but it is a very good, short end that runs back the design.

“You have improved with Mike Vrabel at (chief) trainer from Jerod Mayo who simply didn't work. You spent lots of money. This can be one other team. I feel you’ll double your victory as a complete, no doubt.”

Even with Maye's promising game, New England still has several holes on the offensive side of the ball, be it an offensive line that coughed 52 sacks in 2024, or a wideout group that has not had a 1,000 yard receiver since the 2019 season.

The patriots still have 97 million US dollars of Cap Space in this off -season OverthecapAlthough the pool is out there in changing talents within the free agency. New England's best bet so as to add top talents probably rests within the NFL design, where the patriots have the number 4 selection, and in top 80 more selections.

The addition of a franchise tackle like Will Campbell or two-way playmaker like Travis Hunter could pay out dividends immediately, although New England might be still a 12 months or two of constructing a legitimate advance within the AFC Ost.
