According to Lewis Hamilton, his Ferrari race felt like a “crash course” to learn something about his recent automobile after ending a chaotic Australian Grand Prix on the tenth place.
Hamilton spent the primary half of the race with the eighth race and stuck behind William's driver Alex Albon before a mid-race security automobile bundled in front of a heavy rain shower on the sphere. When most teams decided to finish their drivers, Ferrari Hamilton held out and informed him concerning the radio that it was a brief shower. He first climbed to the third and briefly demonstrated the race before the conditions became too slippery and Hamilton forced to the box.
The seven -time world champion was overtaken by McLarens Oscar Piatri within the last round to finally end with one point and end the race 22.473 seconds behind the winner Lando Norris.
“(It was) definitely a big crash course,” Hamilton told reporters. “I am only grateful that I held it out of the wall.”
Hamilton had driven a Ferrari F1 automobile within the water until the start of the race on Sunday, so he had the sensation that he was “in deep, deep end”, because the automobile was carried out otherwise. “Unfortunately, I had no trust in it today,” said Hamilton. “I will make some changes to the car and the setup next week.”

After Hamilton had come into the box and located how far he had fallen within the order, he told his racing engineer on the radio a “missed opportunity” for the team.
“In the end they said it was only a short shower, so I thought:” I’ll hold it “and the rest of the route was dry,” said Hamilton. “So I said, 'I will sue it as long as possible and keep it on the track.' You didn't say that more (rain) would come. And suddenly more came. I think only this information was missing at the end. “
Hamilton admitted that he didn’t consider that Ferrari had “near the tempo like the McLarens” after winning Norris and spent the biggest a part of the race in second place before letting it late within the rain.
“But I think there is a lot more power in the actual car,” said Hamilton. “I just don't think we have unlocked it this week. I learned a large amount this weekend, there is a lot to enjoy. I have some changes that I have to make next week and I'll see how it works.
“Today was a crash course when driving a Ferrari within the rain.”
