Kristian Campbell appears to be able to win Red Sox's second Baseman job.
Boston seems able to rejoice his MLB debut against the Rangers in Texas next week on the opening day against the Rangers in Texas.
“The presumption of the Red Sox camp is that it is going to be her second basemen []” ESPN's Buster Olney Divided to X on Saturday.
The 22 -year -old Campbell competed in spring with David Hamilton and Marcelo Mayer for the second basis. Vaughn Grissom was also in the mixture until it was chosen for Triple-A Worcester at the beginning of this week.
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said on Friday that the association has “a reasonably good idea” who will win the Start -2b job.

In spring training, Campbell only strikes an OPS of 0.587. He hit his first Homerun of spring on Saturday and finally showed the strength he had shown in the little leagues last year.
Campbell, The No. 7 ranking in the baseball of baseball by MLB pipelinealso made an impressive game in the second basis on Saturday. He caught a line ride by diving and sticking to the ball as he fell into the Infield Drag.
Statistically speaking, the second basis is the main position of Campbell since Boston's design in 2023 (51 games at 2B in Milb). However, he also played a lot of shortstop (36) and Center Field (25) with a third base and a left -wing field.
Campbell played Spring training games in the left field this year, but it is clear that the Red Sox want him to have him in the Infield when he chalks the opening day.
Boston's Infield coach Jose Flores spoke about Campbell's growth at 2B and his chances of winning the start job.
“Obviously we had no probability last 12 months to work so much on the second base” Masslive's Christopher Smith. “This is the first time in spring training that we can do some work. But he has come a long way. He actually took the challenge of getting better in this position and hopefully having a chance to do the Big League Club.
“I feel he has come far to play double games, which he just isn’t used to being on his blind side. I feel he's a good distance and feels rattling far more comfortable.”
When Campbell is definitely with the Big League Club on March 27, he’ll complete his one -year meteoric ascent. He began Single-A Greenville last season, where he spent lower than three months before he was promoted to a double A port.
Before Campbell knew it, he made the jump to Triple-A Worcester, even lower than three months later. He performed in 19 games until the top of the club season.
Despite Campbell's well-deserved fast Moll League climbing, spring training proved that it is going to grow on the MLB level, even with a first-class view like him.
Nevertheless, it should result in an exciting Red Sox -Baseball season, in an infield to an infield during which Alex Bregman might be seen by third party at Second and Triston Casas.
