WNBA Draft Confidential: GMS Anonymous Scout Paige Bueckers and other March Madness Guards

The WNBA design of 2025 is led by Uconn's Paige Bueckers, which has been classified as a top selection as a top election since its decision to exercise its fifth 12 months. But beyond Bueckers there’s a deep pool of lead guards, goal scorers and wings which are on the subsequent level.

Bueckers and a few of their colleagues, including the duos of Notre Dame and NC State, are still competing on the NCAA tournament. Uconn is searching for his first national championship since 2016 and the primary title for Bueckers. If there’s a lot to be achieved, the draft appears to be distant, however the date on April 14th in New York City approaches only eight days after the national championship.

Six WNBA general managers shared their open opinions concerning the upcoming design class with athletic before the NCAA tournament began. They received anonymity to openly speak. On Wednesday we are going to make one other issue that accommodates your reviews of FrontCourt players reminiscent of Aneesah Morrow, Kiki Iriellen and Dominique Malonga.

Georgia Amoore | 5-6 guard | Kentucky

19.6 ppg, 6.9 APG, 36.7 MPG

“Great College basketball player. Can she do enough to be a rotational WNBA player who makes it into a second contract?”

“Due to their ability to lead a team and their teammates to simple points, the game of Georgia Amoores will be translated into simple points.

“It is difficult to achieve success as a tiny, tiny guard, so the dimensions is precisely the essential.

“She is warm, makes a lot (Steve) Nash -things.

“There is little doubt that she is a goal scorer, she will be able to shoot, she is a playmaker. Point Guards are at a bonus. They are difficult to search out.”

Paige Bueckers* | 5-11 guard | Uconn

18.7 ppg, 4.8 APG, 63.4 ts%

“My only concerns about Paige are physical. If she can stay healthy, I think she is an all-star talent. She can play with or without the ball, which makes it super valuable. She achieves big and long enough to survive defensively to survive. I think she is better than her defense, but it is difficult to survive things.

“Despite the fact that people always want to talk about possible defects (she is)
Still the safest in this design. “

“The adaptation to the speed and physicality of the game determines its immediate effect.”

“Great leader. It is incredibly balanced. It is prepared, professional and so impressive, on and outside the square. A franchise basis.”

Sonia Citron | 6-1 wings | Notre lady

14.2 ppg, 5.4 RPG, 38.1 3-p%

“Total Package Player. … She has three levels for her scoring, she can defend several positions, her IQ is out of the charts.”

“It is difficult not to like you what the game needs, the 3-and-D.”

“Very, very balanced. Obviously the ball shooting extremely well. She has the whole package. The game seems to have slowed down for her.”

“Big fan, don't know the ceiling, do not know the Star power, but to be a productive player in a winning team and increase the floor of your team, quite big fan.”

Azzi profit* | 5-11 guard Uconn

13.2 ppg, 1.2 SPG, 44.8 3-Pt%

“She shoots it well, but the sample size is so small. I am not sure how to affect the game outside of the threat from her shootout, and I don't think your gunfights are not out of the charts, so I am a little worried that it has a greater reputation than the actual influence.”

“Health is number 1 for Azzi. It has all the tools to be a great professional. It really depends on her health. Great shooting, great defender.”

“It could be a really interesting complementary rotary winner that can stretch. Three-and-D potential players.”

Aziaa James | 5-9 guard | NC state

17.8 ppg, 4.9 RPG, 2.7 APG

“Really dynamic. Great finisher. Just go downhill. Great defender. I think she will have a really good guard in this league for a long time.”

“I could see how she had an eight -year career. I could see how she was doing it and it just doesn't work. I see her as a microwave car from the bank and these are necessary.”

“Your ability to adapt to defensive game plans against her if she comes to this next level will decide whether she can do it or not.”

“A good combo guardian, but may have to become physical and stronger to take part in competitions in the WNBA night in and night.”

Olivia Meilen* | 5-10 guard | Notre lady

15.5 ppg, 5.9 APG, 40.1 3-P%

“The second safest choice after Paige.”

“She is definitely an extraordinary passer -by. Her court vision in small rooms and full farm is really, especially.”

“Big fan, especially if the shootout can continue to be where it is. I love wobbling that she has in her game. She has a big feeling that she has a great change. I love the combination of dribble, pass, shoot. I love her size at Point Guard. I think she can probably also play on the ball.”

“Incredibly dynamic. One of the best goal scorers I have seen for many years. Sometimes she took out defensively from the end of the games, but I think the defensive end still has space to grow.

Gray-gray color | 5-9 guard | South Carolina

9.7 ppg, 2.9 APG, 37.1 3-P %

“Solid college player. Clear 3-point shooter. Does she have enough to come by people and create at the next level?”

“Paopao has the ability to beat from a long range. It has strong leadership qualities and is another high -iq player who can distribute the basketball.”

“Paopao is efficiently efficient. Defends very well. You know that the children of Dawn (staley) will come in and play their role, whatever they are asked, no matter how big or how little. It really affects the game at both ends of the soil.”

Saniya rivers | 6-1 guard/wing | NC state

11.8 ppg, 6.6 RPG, 3.6 APG

“The good news for you is that you can be a point guard. And if you can't shoot, you better play Point Guard because you have the ball in your hands and you can survive a little more. To like a lot and ask a lot, but astonishing tools with which you can work.”

“The sportiest security guard in the design, but is there a place for a non-3-point shooter guard in the WNBA?”

“The sportiness is fascinating. Sometimes it gets out of control so that it only uses and continues to better select and select its shots when it is driving when it becomes the 3rd shooting.”

“Large length from the wing position and the possibility of being an elite defender with their length and sportiness.”

Shyanne Sellers | 6-2 wings | Maryland

14.2 ppg, 4.2 APG, 41.8 3-p%

“I love her size, I love her sportiness. She has all the tools, she sometimes comes and out.

“She is a goal scorer, she will be able to probably do the 2 and the three and (stretch) 4 games. Availability is commonly the very best ability, and he or she has a little bit of rocky 12 months with a number of the injuries she had.

“Is it reliable or reliable with its validity at the next level? Questions about your current health can take your draft back, and ultimately what is your best position at W level?”

Hailey van Lith | 5-7 guard | TCU

17.7 ppg, 5.5 APG, 1.2 SPG

“A hard child with a high basketball -iq. She can score from all three levels and is a player who can get her basketball in clutch moments and can do something.”

“Hailey had success as a player with a high level of use. What will her role look like when she gets small windows in the W? How effective can she be in limited minutes in her career in limited minutes if she doesn't have the ball?”

“So much grit. I love the fire she brings when she steps on the pitch. You know what you get from her every night. The question mark is still at the defensive end. It still has to get better.

“She helped herself this 12 months. She shows that she will be able to influence the sport in numerous areas.”
