Live Oak continues the dominance, notch Key League victory against Piemont Hills

San Jose – A dominant season continued on Wednesday for the Live Oak Softball Team.

In a showdown in Piedmont Hills with first place on the road, the glans got here up 6-1.

Live Oak is now 11: 1 in total and 6-0 within the Santa Teresa Division of the Blossom Valley Athletic League. Piedmont Hills is 10-4, 5-1.

Live Oak achieved 103 runs in 12 games and approved 16.

“We are just very happy,” said Live Oak coach Sarah Porras. “The girls have a great camaraderie. They really start geling and playing for each other.”

Sophomore Hurler Julianna Altamirano threw a five-grain in Piedmont Hills on the windy afternoon. She struck nine and didn't go dough.

It's nothing recent for you. Altamirano beat 82 and went one In 43 Innings this season. Repeat 82 strikeouts and a walk within the season. How is that possible?

“(You) worked hard in summer and came back with a really good command,” said Porras.

Flores scored Alicia Valladarez, who had include a colourful single to place the pirates on the underside of the inner. But that was all that Altamirano gave up.

Live Oak added single runs within the fourth, sixth and seventh. Olivia Mixco, Kayla Tulowitzki and Quinn Hulber-Dana had two goals each. Tulowitzki and Ava Chapman each drove two runs.

“I definitely have a lot of respect for Live Oak,” said Vince Torres, coach of Piedmont Hills. “Teamwork that you showed. You have not made any mistakes, which in my opinion is the biggest difference. I look forward to playing it again and hopefully achieving a different result.”

Two years ago, Live Oak won the championship of the Central Coast Section Division IV. But after a 6:17 campaign last season, the team was lowered by Mt. Hamilton to the Santa Teresa Division.

“We definitely go to the league title in this division and want to go back to the” A “niga next year,” said Porras.
