After weeks of intense speculation, Vice President Kamala Harris announced her running mate on Tuesday morning: Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

The vote cemented the Democrats' position lower than 100 days before Election Day. Harris and Walz will launch a blitz campaign in several states this week and take a look at to keep up initial momentum ahead of the DNC convention in Chicago later this month.

Walz, an outspoken former teacher, served within the Army National Guard and was a member of the House of Representatives before being elected Minnesota's governor. There are reactions from politicians on each side of the political spectrum.
