The Patriots are reportedly training with the previous first-round cornerback

The Patriots reportedly signed an interesting defensive back for a workout on Tuesday: former Titans corner Caleb Farley. in accordance with Field Yates of ESPN.

Farley, 25, has a ton of potential. He was chosen twenty second overall by the Titans within the 2021 NFL Draft after two impressive seasons at Virginia Tech.

However, injury problems have hampered Farley's ability to remain within the NFL, because the North Carolina native only appeared in 12 games in his final three seasons with the Titans.

Farley suffered a torn ACL in his rookie season in 2021 – the second of his football profession after injuring his knee with the Hokies – after appearing in only three games, while back injuries limited him to nine games the next season.

The subsequent microdiscectomy Farley underwent to correct his back problems caused him to miss the complete 2023 season. Farley returned to the football field with the Titans this preseason, but was released during roster cuts because he could now not play on the sphere because of hamstring problems.

Farley might be a low-risk, high-reward option for the Patriots in the event that they decide to sign him on a contract, although New England's current cornerback staff is pretty solid with Christian Gonzalez and Jonathan Jones at the surface positions. Other cornerbacks currently on the roster include Marcus Jones, Marco Wilson, Alex Austin and rookie Marcellas Dial.
