Watch the Star Wars stunt show rarely seen at Disneyland – The Mercury News

An epic Star Wars lightsaber battle between the Resistance and the First Order, the likes of that are rarely seen at Disneyland, recently made a transient appearance at Galaxy's Edge – raising hopes that the rooftop stunt show could develop into a nightly tradition.

The stunt show “Blaze Your Path: The Finale” was a part of a Star Wars-themed Make-A-Wish event on the Anaheim theme park last week.

“While this was a wonderful event for the Make-A-Wish families, we hope Galaxy’s Edge will continue to provide entertainment like this to all guests on a daily basis, just as Avengers Campus does,” said MouseChat.

The same Star Wars stunt show was first seen in 2019 during a press event for the opening night of Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland, featuring a dozen actors, computer graphics, blaster fire and pyrotechnics on the stage above the landspeeder garage.

The Star Wars stunt show concept planned for Disneyland was incorporated into the short-lived Galactic Starcruiser Hotel at Walt Disney World, where each three-day, two-night experience culminated in a grand lightsaber battle between Kylo Ren and Rey Skywalker.

Illustrated book “The Art of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge” which got here out in 2021, contained concept art of a never-realized large-scale show featuring a battle between Kylo Ren, Rey, Chewbacca and Vi Moradi over the landspeeder garage, in response to Attractions Magazine.

During the Star Wars Celebration 2017, Walt Disney Imagineering showed a video of a stunt show developed for Galaxy's Edge that’s designed to place visitors in the course of motion sequences, in response to BlogMickey.

Galaxy's Edge has several stages near the Millennium Falcon, X-Wing Fighter, and Landspeeder Garage that remain mostly unused and are only used as meet-and-greet locations.

Kylo Ren's appearance on the stage of the TIE Echelon attack shuttle appears like the start of a show that ultimately never happens.

Disneyland and other Disney theme parks have granted 155,000 wishes to Make-A-Wish children over the past 45 years.

The Blaze Your Path event allowed you to construct lightsabers and droids and had the possibility to satisfy Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, C-3PO, and other Star Wars characters rarely seen at Galaxy's Edge.
