Disneyland ticket price hike breaks $200 mark – The Mercury News

Disneyland has increased prices on most day passes and annual passes while keeping its lowest admission price unchanged because the Anaheim theme park prepares for the premiere of Tiana's Bayou Adventure in November and a year-long seventieth anniversary celebration in 2025.

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure ticket prices rose a mean of 6% on Wednesday, October 9, with the most cost effective Magic Key annual pass rising 20%.

Disneyland offers $50 children's tickets and a 25% hotel discount

According to Disneyland officials, the Disneyland resort offers a wide selection of ticket, dining and hotel options, in addition to special offers all year long to assist visitors get monetary savings.

The most costly single-park, single-day ticket for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure broke the $200 barrier for the primary time within the park's 69-year history. A decade ago, a one-park, one-day ticket to Disneyland cost $96 in 2014, before Disneyland moved to a tiered pricing system.

The most costly tickets in Disneyland's seven-tier pricing system rose from $194 to $206 for a one-day park entry and from $259 to $271 for a one-day park hopper.

The least expensive day ticket for a park has remained unchanged at $104 since 2019. The least expensive Parkhopper day ticket also stays unchanged at $169.

Day ticket prices for individual parks increased 0% to six.5%: Tier 0 ($104), Tier 1 ($126), Tier 2 ($142), Tier 3 ($164), Tier 4 ($180 ), Tier 5 ($196) and Tier 6 ($206).

There were similar increases for multi-day tickets. Two-day single-park tickets increased to $330 (from $310), while three-day tickets now cost $415 for access to a single park (from $390).

Disneyland Magic Key Annual Pass prices increased from 6% to twenty%.

  • Believe Pass: $1,374, up 10%
  • Enchantment Pass: $974, plus 14.7%
  • Imagine Pass (Southern California residents only): $599, 20% more

Daily theme park parking fees remained unchanged at $35.

With the recent increases, Disneyland continues to make use of ticket prices to administer attendance and spread visitation from peak times to slower times of the 12 months.

Starting in 2016, Disneyland switched to a demand-based pricing system with tickets divided into tiers. The variety of tiers has increased from three in 2016 ($95 to $119) to 5 in 2020 ($104 to $154), six in 2021 ($104 to $164) and 7 in 2022 ($104 to $179) increased.

Disney ticket price increases are inclined to have a domino effect: Universal Studios Hollywood, SeaWorld San Diego and Knott's Berry Farm soon raise admission prices to maintain pace with the industry leader.
