Tiger Woods opens the first Sun Day Red golf apparel pop-up in Pebble Beach

Legendary golfer. lucky color. Iconic course.

Tiger Woods has chosen Pebble Beach – the location of his stunning 15-shot victory on the US Open – for his first golf apparel pop-up shop.

His clothes and niknaks line “Sun Day Red” – a nod to Woods' tradition of wearing a red shirt to tournaments on Sundays – will debut this Friday, October eleventh at Pebble Beach Resort's Lodge Arcade, announced brand representatives. The shop shall be open day by day.

Sun Day Red is a subsidiary of TaylorMade Golf and is presenting the TGR Jr. Invitational this weekend on the golf course. The brand launched in February when Woods traded in a Nike swoosh – from his former retail partner – for his recent logo, a stylized tiger. Online sales began on May 1st.

The Lodge Arcade carries polo shirts, pants, hats, gloves — even an umbrella for foggy days on the golf courses — in addition to casual clothing like hoodies.

Throughout his profession, Woods has worn red in tournament finals because his mother told him it was his power color. In the hands of marketers, nevertheless, the colour takes on recent meaning: “Today, Sunday red is more than just superstition. It is a symbol of Tiger’s relentless pursuit of excellence and a testament to his mental strength under the greatest pressure.”

Details: The Lodge Arcade is open day by day from 9:00 a.m. to six:30 p.m. 1700 17 Mile Drive, Pebble
Beach; www.sundayred.com/home
