Bruins
The Bruins made their annual Halloween hospital visit on Monday, dressed because the lovely and colourful creatures from Pixar's “Monsters, Inc.”
The players' trips to Mass General for Children and Boston Children's Hospital were a part of a well-liked annual tradition amongst children, players, hospital staff and even fans of the team.
Brad Marchand played the role of the character Mike Wazowski, while Jeremy Swayman and Charlie Coyle took turns playing Sully. In recent years, the Bruins forged has featured characters from “Barbie,” “Toy Story” and more.
The players spent their time meeting young fans, signing posters, taking photos and bringing joy to the hospitals. Swayman hugged a 12-year-old fellow goalie because the team spread the Halloween spirit amongst fans and non-fans alike.
“It’s definitely one of my favorite events of the year for us,” Swayman said. “We’re very lucky to be a part of it.”
“It is a pleasure for us to come here,” Hampus Lindholm, dressed as Sheri Squibblestold reporters. “It also gives us great joy as a team and as players to see these children smile.”
