Jennifer Lopez leaves event after being questioned about Diddy allegations: report

Jennifer Lopez fans eager to get her autograph were reportedly upset last weekend when she allegedly abruptly ended an autograph session after someone in the group asked her to call Sean “Diddy” Combs, her long-time ex-boyfriend Time, and who asked had allegations of sex trafficking against him.

Lopez attended a screening and question-and-answer session for her recent film “Unstoppable” on the 2024 AFI Fest in Los Angeles. Mirror US reported. The screening took place on Saturday and the school sports drama was produced by Lopez's estranged husband Ben Affleck and his production company with Matt Damon.

But during a book signing for Unstoppable, Lopez was confronted with an ungainly query about one other famous ex, the Mirror reported. As the singer and actor tried to greet fans, someone in the group asked, “J. Lo, do you have any comments on P. Diddy and the allegations?”

Lopez immediately stopped signing autographs, The Mirror reported. She and her team began walking away from the group. People in the group shouted after her: “Don’t go,” but she walked out the door, “out of sight,” The Mirror said.

This awkward moment comes as Lopez is within the midst of divorcing Affleck. Meanwhile, she stays silent concerning the disturbing sexual assault allegations against Combs, whom she dated from 1999 to 2001. The music mogul and founding father of Bad Boy Records has been in federal custody since September and faces charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges.

Combs has also faced greater than 20 lawsuits from ladies and men who claim he and his alleged accomplices sexually assaulted them while they attended his notorious parties.

Lopez has faced scrutiny over her relationship with Combs since his arrest on Sept. 16. The allegations within the lawsuits relate to incidents that began within the Nineteen Nineties and continued through 2022, with some allegedly occurring throughout the period when Lopez and Combs were a high-profile celebrity couple.

Perhaps most uncomfortable for Lopez are the allegations made in a federal lawsuit last week. A 37-year-old woman claims that as a 13-year-old girl, she was sexually assaulted by Combs with the assistance of an unnamed female and male celebrity at a celebration the mogul threw after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. While the lawsuit didn’t name Combs' alleged celebrity accomplices, Lopez was Combs' date on the 2000 VMAs and he or she won the award for best dance video that September evening.

Recently unearthed photos were released this week within the Daily Mail, It is alleged to point out Lopez and Combs at a star-studded afterparty for the 2000 VMAs. The awards ceremony took place on September 7, 2000 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, while the afterparty was held on the now-defunct Lotus nightclub.

The photos show Lopez and Combs in a heated confrontation, with Lopez appearing to yell on the rapper, the Daily Mail said. A guest on the party told the Daily Mail that the argument ended with Combs leaving the nightclub along with his entourage and a gaggle of girls.

The alleged attack on the 13-year-old girl apparently occurred at a house later that night. The Daily Mail said the timing of the attack added “a disturbing layer” to the evening's events and raised questions on the dynamics of Lopez and Combs' relationship at a time now overshadowed by serious allegations.

In 1999, Lopez became embroiled in one other criminal controversy involving Combs. They were arrested in December of that 12 months while fleeing a Manhattan nightclub following a shooting that left three people injured. Combs was tried for the shooting in 2001 and Lopez testified, but Combs was acquitted by a jury.

Over the years, Lopez hasn't said much about her relationship with Combs, although toward the tip she described it as “tempestuous” and “emotionally exhausting.” She also said that they broke up, got back together, after which broke up again “many times.”

Lopez's first husband, Ojani Noa, whom the megastar met and married early in her profession, recently blamed Combs for the collapse of their 11-month marriage in 1998.

In an interview with Univision, Noa, a Cuban immigrant who met Lopez while working as a waiter in Miami, said, “Part of this divorce was Diddy's fault.”

“When Sony came and paid her the millions she got, there was Puffy (Combs), who was supposed to be one of the producers of several tracks on (her) first album 'On The 6,'” Noa told the Spanish outlet, in keeping with the positioning Six. “That’s when the deception, the lies, the separation began.”
