The once-dry Disneyland is about to get a bit of wetter on the Outer Rim outpost of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, because the Anaheim theme park's long-standing alcohol ban continues to crumble.

Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland will serve wine, beer and hard seltzer through the Nighttime Gathering Fireworks Dining Package starting Friday, November eighth.

The kicker: The alcohol is simply available to Disneyland visitors who pay for the $89 Nighttime Gathering Fireworks Dining Package.

The Star Wars Dining Package includes cheeseburger croquettes, apricot goat cheese charcuterie, dragon fruit yogurt and cream puffs served in a bento box and a specialty drink in a souvenir cup before watching the fireworks on the Falcon Overlook patio.

Alcohol purchased individually may only be consumed in Docking Bay 7 through the Nighttime Gathering event, which runs from 8 p.m. until roughly 10 p.m., when the Fire of the Rising Moons fireworks display ends.

Alcohol have to be consumed in Docking Bay 7 and will not be permitted on the Falcon Overlook deck.

The Docking bay 7 The quick service restaurant doesn’t sell alcohol throughout the day or to visitors who aren’t attending the Nighttime Gathering event. Disneyland has no plans so as to add alcohol to the Docking Bay 7 menu.

Disneyland guests appreciate the chance to enjoy an alcoholic beverage as a part of their dining experience and have provided positive feedback on the expanded option, in keeping with Disneyland officials.

In his first days on the park, Walt Disney warned that serving alcohol at Disneyland would attract an unwanted crowd of loud troublemakers.

“No alcohol, no beer, nothing,” Walt Disney told the Saturday Evening Post about Disneyland in 1956. “Because that brings with it a rowdy element. That brings in people we don't want.”

Vicinity Oga's Cantina was the primary public location in Disneyland to serve alcohol when Galaxy's Edge launched in 2019.

Since then, the menus have expanded to incorporate beer, wine and specialty cocktails Blue Bayou, Café Orleans, River Belle Terrace and Carnation Café. Guests cannot get their drinks to go. Beer, wine and cocktails have to be consumed within the restaurants.

Disneyland made the choice so as to add alcohol to table service restaurants after the park's dining team received 1000’s of requests for more beer, wine and cocktail options from international travelers and young adult visitors.

The exclusive, private and mysterious Club 33 above the Blue Bayou has long served beer, wine and cocktails to its wealthy members.
