A brand new luxury sleeper train is being launched in England and Wales

LVMH owned Luxury hotel company Belmond will launch a luxury sleeper train next yr that may take travelers across the countryside of England and Wales.

The Britannic Explorer will offer three itineraries: one to the southwestern county of Cornwall and the opposite to the other end of England through the Lake District of Cumbria within the north, while the third travels through country Wales.

All journeys depart from London and last three nights, with the England routes operating on weekends (Friday to Monday) and the Wales route through the week (Monday to Thursday), allowing travelers to mix two journeys into one trip.

Belmond operates several luxury hotels worldwide, including the famous Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and Asia's Eastern & Oriental Express.

The price for a three-day trip starts at 5,800 British kilos ($7,460) per person. This includes excursions, meals and drinks, including alcohol, in keeping with an organization representative.

The latest train is scheduled to return onto the market in July 2025.

Gallery tours and “wild swimming”

The train consists of 18 passenger cabins – 15 suites and three “grand suites” – in addition to bar and restaurant cars and a “wellness suite”.

The meals have been designed by British chef Simon Rogan, a key figure within the country's farm-to-fork movement and head of Cumbria's The three Michelin star restaurant L'Enclume. Belmond says the menu will feature seasonal and sustainable ingredients from across the UK.

During the day, travelers will stop to go to national parks, take guided hikes and “wild swim” within the Lake District, the corporate said.

The British Lake District route takes you thru the idyllic Cotswolds region of England and features a stop on the two Michelin star hotel and restaurant The Quat' Saisons mansionon the outskirts of Oxford.
