Washington (AP) -US health officers ask for retailers to drag a small variety of pimples creams from their shop shelves Chemical in reference to cancer.
The Food and Drug Administration said that several many six products that contain benzoylperoxide are called back, including Walgreens Acne Control Cleanser, Proactiv Skin Smoothing EXFoliator and La Roche-Posay Effaclar Dual Action Acne Acne Treatment. The full list and the lottery numbers were published online on Tuesday.
The FDA emphasized the consumers that usually are not exposed to little risk as a consequence of the products.
“Despite the daily use of these products for decades, the risk that a person will have cancer is very low due to exposure to benzene in these products,” said the agency.
All products contain benzeneA chemical component of crude oil, gas and cigarette smoke. Longer exposure to high values could cause leukemia and other sorts of cancer.
The recalls announced this week apply to shops that sell the articles. FDA officers said consumers do not need to take any specific measures.
The FDA identified the six products after testing 95 pimples treatment products. The agency checked by testing private laboratories about excess benzene levels in various pimples products.
In recent years, a lot of other products have been called back via benzene levels, including hand disinfectants, aerosols and sunscreen.
