Check Fraud: A Saratoga resident reported that somebody intercepted, altered and cashed a cashier's check within the mail, causing a loss of roughly $2,087.
Driving under the influence, reckless eluding, hit and run, unlicensed driver, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia: At 9:28 p.m., officers attempted to stop a motorist on the intersection of Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and Sea Gull Way for equipment and traffic violations, but the driving force did not yield and recklessly swerved, leading to two vehicle collisions. The suspect's vehicle was eventually disabled and an investigation revealed that the motorist was driving under the influence and and not using a license while the passenger was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in violation of probation. Both suspects were arrested.

Misuse of a Registration Plate: At 10:51 p.m., officers patrolling the Argonaut Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road made contact with the owner of a suspicious vehicle. An investigation revealed that the vehicle's registration was expired and a fake registration plate was displayed on the rear license plate. The suspect was cited and released.
June twenty eighth
Check Fraud: A Saratoga resident reported that somebody stole checks and mailed them at a U.S. Post Office, then altered and cashed them, causing him a loss of roughly $2,679.
Stolen vehicle recovered: At 9:59 a.m., officers found a vehicle within the 12000 block of Ted Avenue that had previously been stolen in Sunnyvale.
Attempted Residential Burglary: At 8:55 p.m., someone attempted to enter a residence within the 19000 block of Bonnet Way by breaking open a rear sliding glass door, but fled the scene without gaining entry when an audible alarm went off.
29 June
Identity Theft: A Saratoga resident reported that somebody used his personal information to access his digital payment account and make fraudulent transactions totaling roughly $8,764.
Possession of Stolen License Plates, Unlicensed Driver: At 7:57 p.m., officers responded to an automatic license plate reader report of a vehicle with stolen license plates on Saratoga Avenue at Highway 85. An investigation revealed that the plates had been stolen from a vehicle in East Palo Alto and had not yet been issued. The vehicle was positioned and stopped a short while later, and further investigation revealed that the suspect didn’t have a driver's license. The suspect was cited and released.
July 1
Residential Burglary: Between 1:00 p.m. on June 28 and 5:00 p.m. on July 1, someone entered a residence within the 20000 block of Canyon View Drive by disabling a lock through the garage door and stole a shotgun, causing roughly $200 in damage.
Theft by false pretense: A Saratoga resident reported that somebody created a fake account on a digital marketplace offering tickets on the market to a significant sporting event. The victim sent the suspect $700 but never received the tickets.
Assault with likely serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon: At 6:04 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at Wingstop within the Westgate Corner shopping mall on Prospect Road. An investigation revealed that the suspect choked the victim multiple times, causing injuries, then left the restaurant, got right into a vehicle, and attempted to run over one other victim with the automotive. The suspect was arrested.

Identity Theft: A Saratoga resident reported that somebody used his personal information to acquire cellphone service, leading to an unknown financial loss.
4th of July
Identity Theft: A Saratoga resident reported that somebody used his personal information to use for a bank card account. The application was canceled and there was no financial loss.
Organized shoplifting, providing false identification to a police officer, resisting arrest: At 3:29 p.m., officers responded to a theft call at Mountain Mike's Pizza within the Argonaut Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. An investigation revealed that two suspects entered the restaurant and stole roughly $50 from a tip jar. Further investigation revealed that a complete of 5 suspects, including the 2 who stole from the pizzeria, worked together to steal roughly $1,262 value of merchandise from Safeway. One suspect was arrested contained in the mall, one was found on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road, and three suspects were present in a getaway automotive parked on the corner of Saratoga and Herriman Avenue. Inside the automotive, officers found stolen merchandise and property with personal identification information that didn’t belong to the suspects and was also believed to be stolen. Three suspects had warrants for his or her arrest, two gave officers false identification information, and one lied a few medical emergency to delay arrest. However, all five suspects were ultimately arrested.
