A full jury of twelve jurors and 6 alternates was chosen Friday for the New York hush money trial of Donald Trump.
Judge Juan Merchan expects opening statements within the Manhattan Supreme Court trial to start Monday.
As the four-day jury selection process got here to an end, a shocking scene occurred just outside the courthouse: A person set himself on fire outside the court in an area cordoned off for protesters, NBC News reported.
Police officers immediately ran towards the person. A spokesman for the New York Police Department was initially unable to supply any information in regards to the incident.
As on the previous three days of proceedings, efforts on Friday to fill the jury for the unprecedented criminal trial weren’t at all times easy.
Some potential jurors were dismissed because they said they may not be impartial in the previous president's case. And a minimum of three people said they suffered from anxiety or “self-doubt” on the prospect of sitting on the jury.

Jean Carroll $83 million for defaming her when he denied her claims that he had her within the mid-Nineties raped within the dressing room of a Manhattan department store. A separate federal jury had previously found Trump accountable for sexually abusing Carroll.
Trump is appealing each the economic fraud and defamation convictions. Merchan will resolve whether such a questioning is permissible in the course of the so-called Sandoval hearing.
Trump has announced that he’ll testify within the hush money trial. He shouldn’t be obliged to do that.

Trump is accused of 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, who says she had sex with Trump years ago when he was married.
The payment from Trump's then-lawyer Michael Cohen was geared toward influencing the 2016 presidential election by suppressing damaging information from voters, Bragg claims. Trump has denied having sex with Daniels.
