Serena Williams joins the WNBA owner group in Toronto

Tennis superstar Serena Williams continues their investment in women's sports with a brand new participation of the owner within the Toronto Tempo of the Women's National Basketball Association, the team said on Monday.

The pace, the primary WNBA expansion team in Canada, will play within the 2026 season and can also be owned by Larry Tanenbaum, chairman of Kilmer Sports Ventures.

“I have always said that sports are an incredible investment option. I am very happy to work with Larry and all of Canada to create this new WNBA franchise and this inheritance,” said Williams in a proof.

The size of Williams' share was not announced.

As a part of Williams' role within the team, she’s going to play an lively role within the visual look of the Jersey design team to commodity cooperation.

“Serena is a champion,” said Teresa Resch, President of the Tempo Basketball Club. “She is the greatest athlete of all time, and her impact on this team and this country will be incredible.”

The deal is a final approval of the league.

Since Williams, the previous tennis player with 23 Grand Slam-Singles championships in August 2022, has been busy constructing their portfolio outside the square.

She can also be a minority owner in Angel City FC of the National Women's Soccer League, the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League and the Los Angeles Golf Club from each day.
